Notes on Iran

                Iran


·         Their government theocratic republic
·         Their main religion Muslim 98% of them are muslim ( Shia 89%,Sunni 11% )
·         Their main language is Persian
·         Their literacy 15 and over can read that is 77% of their population
·         19 years of age for compulsory. 16 years of age volunteers. 17 years of age for law enforcement. 18 years of basij forces. Women are exempt from military forces.
·         In  Iran, 9.87% of it’s landscape is used for plants.
·         5.4% of people live to be 65 years or over.
·         They have an 11.8% unemployment rate.
·         They are 19th in the world in population. With 66,429,284 people.
·         They are 4th in the world for production.
·         Iran has been named as a state sponsor of terrorism for its activities.
·         They are trying to build a nuclear reactor. So they can build atomic  bombs.

Learning on How Muslim's Perform Their Works

Muslim or Moslem is the religion of Islam. Muslim means submit to god. Their God's name is called Allah. Their main prophet's name is call Muhammed. They have to pray 5 times a day as ritual of their faith. The amount of Muslim's in the world is 1.57 billion. 60% of the Muslim's are in Asia and the last 40% are in North America and The Middle East. Muslim is the second largest practice of faith.

The Five Pillars of Islam:

  • Faith or belief in the Oneness of God and the finality of the prophethood of Muhammad;
  • Establishment of the daily prayers;
  • Concern for and almsgiving to the needy;
  • Self-purification through fasting; and
  • The pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able.

Notes on Middle East

Egypt:
3% of Egypt's land is able to produce food. So they have to  import food. They produce cotton, beans, fruit, and oil. There HIV and AIDS rate is lower than most countries. That's because they don't have as much sexual content, it's not in their culture. 71.4 percent of the people in Egypt can read. More men can read than women because men are more valued and have a larger education.

Saudi Arabia:
Saudi Arabia have the second most oil production. They are number 1 in oil exporting. This nation is 100% Muslim.Their government is Monarchy- is based on Islamic laws, which means they get their laws from the Coran.

Israel:
The Israel government is a democracy.Their population is 7 million plus. Israel capital is Jerusalem. Most people live in cities. They all have to serve in the Jewish Army. You men have to serve 36 month and women have to serve 12 months. Their GDP rate is higher than america. They are the only country in the world that is mostly Jewish. In 1948 the became a free nation.Suffrage is 18 years old. They are in the middle on oil sell and oil consumption. Life expectancy is 78 years old. Hebrew is their official language and Arabic is their second language.
